An engineered logjam designed by my company, Herrera Environmental, to protect a section of Highway 101 that's been getting destroyed every time the Hoh River floods. So far, so good. Notice how this jam's accumulating woody debris as designed.

Glines Canyon Dam. This dam's scheduled to be removed pretty soon as part of the Ehlwa River restoration. 13 million cubic yards of sediment are trapped behind the dam.
